Cuisinart Juicer

Cuisinart is a trusted name in the kitchen appliance market. But how do their juicers measure up?

Cuisinart Juicer - The Cuisinart juicer comes from a company with a long reputation of quality appliances. So you would expect nothing but the best from their citrus juicer - right?

Well, that all depends on what Cuisinart product you get. There is the Citrus Pro Cuisinart Juicer, which is a stand alone citrus juicer. Or, if you have a Cuisinart stand mixer you can get the Cuisinart Juicer Attachment for Cuisinart Stand Mixer. Since both of these juicers perform differently, they also have different reactions from consumers. I guess you could say it is a love/hate relationships with a Cuisinart juicer!

First of all we will look at the Cuisinart CCJ-100 Citrus Pro Juicer. This is a stand alone juicer for extracting the juice from citrus fruits. With this juice extractor, you slice the fruit in half and then put the citrus half on the cone (similar to a manual citrus juicing cone). When you turn on the machine, the cone begins to spin and extracts the juice from the fruit.

The Citrus Pro Cuisinart Juicer is very effective in getting all the juice out of the fruit. That is not where consumers have had complaints. In fact, most consumers were very impressed with how much juice this little Cuisinart juicer machine could extract from citrus fruit! The problems lie in the design of this Cuisinart juicer. First of all, the juicer extracts the juice directly into another container - measuring cup, pitcher, etc., what ever the consumer chooses. Well, the pour spout is very short on the juicer, so if you have a thick glass pitcher the spout won't reach. Also, the juicer is wider at the top than at the bottom so getting a container close to the spout can be difficult at times. As a result, many consumers feel that the potential for messes is great with this juicing machine. Another issue that users have found is power, not the lack of power - this machine is very powerful! It doesn't seem sturdy enough for the power it puts out. As it is running and extracting the juice, the juicing unit tends to move around on the counter. There again, the potential for a juice mess is great. So, as you can see, consumers do not have a problem with the juicing capabilities of the CCJ-100 Citrus Pro Cuisinart Juicer, they just have issues with the design.

Another Cuisinart juicer is the Cuisinart Juicer Attachment for Cuisinart Stand Mixer. This is an external attachment for the Cuisinart Stand Mixers. Consumers are very happy with this Cuisinart attachment and have no complaints about it's juicing capabilities. Simply attach the juicing attachment to your stand mixer and off you go! This attachment will juice citrus fruits of any size with no slowing or dragging of the motor. You will enjoy fresh squeezed juice in minutes! The only small complaint is that it can be difficult to put on and take off.

As you can see, a Cuisinart Juicer may be perfect for you if you can accept the design problems in the stand alone model. No matter what you choose, fresh squeezed juice is a healthy treat for all!
